Grabbing her wand from the end table by her favourite Hufflepuff couch, Mackenzie headed out of the warm common room, into the slightly colder, damper basement corridor. Her hair was relatively nice today, it wasn’t frizzy, which was amazing for Mackenzie since it usually poofed out, not that she cared that much, okay she did care a bit, but her hair was a lost cause. Turning a corner, making her way to the stairs to go up to the Great Hall, Mackenzie spotted her favourite portrait in the whole castle. The fruit bowl one which lead down to the kitchens. She could technically go up and eat, but it would be more fun to eat in the kitchen, plus lunch was almost over, and all the bad food no one wanted would be left. Grinning, she walked up to the portrait and tickled the pear ever so lightly. The portrait swung open to reveal a large kitchen were hundreds of houselves worked. Giant jugs of juice were being filled, large delicious looking deserts placed on silver platters, and sandwiches and other lunch course were being sent upwards to the four tables above. Walking in so the portrait swung behind her, Mackenzie was suddenly surrounded by houseleves. They were adorable, so willing to help, little bat like ears, and big eyes, she kind of felt bad. “Can I have a tuna sandwich and a cookie please?” She asked, a second later a plate with her sandwich and cookie was brought to her, looking as delicious as ever. An echo rang through the corridor, making Christopher jump. Raising an eyebrow he figured somebody had just dropped their books, which was deifnatly common in the halls, but the catch was there weren't any classrooms down here, and it was lunch, therefore somebody couldn't do that, and plenty of people never stopped to their common rooms after their classrooms. That almost ruled out everything. Chris heaved a sigh, why did he either think too far into things or didn't think at all, course that was the usual conversation with Katrina O'Neil, it just made him interesting.
His pace quickened as he tried to catch whoever made the large boom, clearly it was infront of him. Rounding a corner he raised an eyebrow, making him stop in his tracks. Christopher turned into a circle, utterly confused now. Turning back the look was still plastered on his face. Christopher shrugged it off, quite frankly he didn't care, he was just bored. Going over to the kitchens typically he would hell "Open up you fucking thing" but this time he did something practical, opening it up the way it was supposed to. Walking into the portrait hole it slammed, making Christopher snap his fingers, that was the noise.
Looking around he saw many of elves look at him, but then turn away, he was a usual vistitor here no doubt. Chris stepped past a few of them, hearing somebody talk made him jump. Shaking his head he knew teachers wouldn't be down here, or the headmaster at that. Raising an eyebrow again at a brunette girl that seemed to be standing there a grin spread across his face. Walking over to her and wrapping his arms around her waiste, setting his chin on her shoulder "Eww, tuna" he said, this make him step backwards, his nose still wrinkled. He hated tuna, it was just...gross. Leaning against one of the brick walls he looked to Mackinzie, shaking his head "So your not anorexic, you just eat down here" a smile was on his face as he said this. He never saw the girl at lunch.

Not hearing anyone come in, Mackenzie held her plate with one hand and grabbed the one half of her sandwich and brought it close to her face, about to take a bit, when she felt some grab her waist lightly, but they had a pretty strong hold. She nearly jumped, especially when she felt on her shoulder. “Merli-“ She began as she turned her head to see who was holding her. Chris Montgomery, big surprise, she thought sarcastically, he was always sneaking up on her like that or doing something to surprise her, and it always seemed to work. “You don’t like tuna?” She grinned holding her the piece out in his direction. “Why not, it’s so good” She waved it in front of his face while giving a little laugh. She loved tuna, although most people didn’t, she didn’t know why, it was delicious! Her laughter and the smile on her face disappeared at his anorexic comment. She knew he was joking but still, she was skinny and sometimes felt a little too skinny. “Oh haha, I’m not anorexic, and I’m always at lunch-well almost always. I come down here sometimes, but I do eat up there.” She said realizing that she never really did. Taking a big bite with a smile on her face, she looked at him and asked when she had swallowed. “What brings you down here?” She went and took another bite, she loved the food at Hogwarts. Christopher wrinkled his nose again "Not unless the taste is drowned out by mayo" he said with a nod. Chris wasn't one to be picky really about anything, he would eat Tuna, sure, but not really like it much. Pushing the sandwhich away from his face as she waved it infront of him he shook his head, a slight smirk going onto his face. "Oh my god cookie!" Chris lunged after it, getting smacked in the hand with a towel from one of the older house elves, Christopher looked to Mackenzie, turning back to the elf and pouted, getting himself a different cookie "I'm a regular here" he said with a smile, taking a bite out of it.
Once Kenzie said that she wasn't anorexic he cocked his head to the side, arching an eyebrow. "Hardly, I remember when I was sitting in the common room and you were sitting in your little emo kid corner, saying 'aww, i'm so hungry' thats when I showed you how to get into here" Christopher said with a nod, he remembered some stuff, like what we wasn't supposed to, but the things that were crucial to his learning, well just didn't keep in his head, it went in one ear and out the other, simple as that. "I don't understand why chicks don't eat" Christopher said, mostly to himself then anybody else. Typically his cousin would literally pig out infront of them.
"I heard a big bang, then went past here and I suddenly got...hungry" his voice started to sound like he was getting confused at the end of his statement. "What brings you down here, theres food up..." he was about to say stairs, but instead he pointed to the ceiling of the kitchen, nodding for a minute and finishing off the cookie.

“Ha!” Kenzie laughed when the older house elf smack Chris’s hand away with a towel. “My cookie.” She said with a smug little smile as she looked down at her cookie and finished the half of the sandwich. She grabbed the cookie and took a little bite. She covered her mouth as she discreetly wiped the crums from her lips. “So am I, although I never see you.” Putting her cookie down on her plate. She looked at him and didn’t know whether to laugh or not. “That’s kinda creepy you know, remembering random little things like that about me.” She grinned pushing her hair behind her ears. “But anyways I remember I was hungry because I had missed lunch to work on my herebology essay which was due right after lunch, not because I didn’t want to eat.” She looked over at the other half of her sandwich and ripped a piece off, popping it in her mouth. “Probably because they want to look a certain way.” She said leaning against a counter, continuing to eat her sandwich. “Us girls go through so much pressure you know.” She said wisely as she finished off her sandwich. “I’m not saying it’s the best thing to do actually it’s a terrible thing to do, which is why I don’t starve myself”. She said eating her cookie to show him she ate, she ate too much sometimes, and actually Mackenzie was surprised she was still thin. “The food up there is gross now, it’s all the stuff people don’t want. Plus some second year always tries to start a food fight, and I just want to avoid it.” She explained pushing her plate out of the way and hoisting herself onto the counter, swinging her feet in the air. Christopher shrugged "Thats cause I'm very secretive" he said with a nod, knocking over a pan, which made Christopher jump. Well that was a dead giveaway that clearly he was lying. Of course plenty of people never expected Chris to be the quiet and sneaky one, mainly because he wasn't, definatly wasn't. Usually he had to talk to everybody and well cause a scene with one thing or another. It was just him and so far he hand't really got any complaints to his face therefore he was okay with how he acted.
"Your not that special Kenzie, I remember random little things about everybody" Christopher said with a nod, he also could blackmail anybody, from the first years from this year to the teachers, which was quite a hard thing to do. Even if he got detention for blackmailing a teacher it didn't bother him, actually it was normal for him. "Maybe you shouldn't procrastinate" he said with a nod. He should be the one talking, course he had Katrina to help him with practically everything, and the girl never ever once turned her homework late, course he couldn't say that but still.
Christopher arched an eyebrow "Oh yes...'Is my hair okay, aww damn' he started in a high pitched girly voice "I mean" his voice went back to normal, but then he cleared his throat "Gosh darn I broke a nail" again with the high pitched girly voice. He cleared his throat again but this time it was much louder "And don't say you go through a lot of stress with school cause we do too" Christopher pointed to himself "Maybe you eat and puke it back up, isn't that..beulimia or something?" he asked, a bit curious about the subject.
At the whole 'second years want to start food fights' a grin spread across Christopher's face as he sat next to the girl "Yeah, me and Ryan started that" he said with a nod. Lord there was a lot of things that had happened in this school that he was to blame. Christopher leaned back, looking at the tables where all the food was gone, Christopher practically squealed "Oh my god they are making desert" he said, looking at Mackenzie with an amused expression on his face.

Crossing her arms across her chest, Kenzie glared at Chris. It wasn’t as if she spoke like that, although there were some girls who were like that, she was defiantly not one of them, for instance, she didn’t care if her hair was messy or not...well maybe a little, but not like that! And her nails were too short to break like that. “Oh shut up.” She smiled picking a muffin up and throwing it at him. Her aim was as terrible as ever, and the small blueberry muffin went soaring a foot away from Chris’s head. No wonder she never made chaser, ok and maybe it was because she could barely stay on her broom. Anyways her aim was terrible and she knew it. “And yes it is called bulimia and it’s disgusting and I can’t believe people would do that.” She defended herself again. She did not have a eating disorder and she didn’t want Christ to think she did, and have it spread around. “Why doesn’t that surprise me.” She laughed. “I thought I saw you throw a roll and hit my face.” Thinking back on it, she felt a small pain in the bridge of her nose where she had gotten hit. “That hurt you know.” Pausing to scratch her left leg with her right shoe, she looked back at him. “Don’t you think you’re a little too old to start a food fight?” She asked with a slight smirk. She was joking around, she was so immature at heart, and even though she acted like she disapproved of the food fight, she secretly loved it. [/blockquote]

"Oh, I'm sorry its the whole 'uhg I'm so bloated thing' huh?" he said, a grin across his face now. He always teased Mackenzie, really he couldn't help it, though the worst thing that she would do to him was probably smack him on the shoulder. He was used to that from Burgundy and about every other one of his friends that were girls, though he had never heard any of them talk like that. Usually it was the Slytherins that did. Actually he never got why girls did that in the first place, they just, confused him.
Christopher didn't even move when he saw Kenzie pick up a roll and chuck it. There wasn't really a point to that. Chris knew that if she was going to throw a pencil or something at him like that she would probably get the person abbout 4 feet away. Thats just how she was it seemed like. Though if Christopher aimed for something he would hit it right on the target, course being a chaser you kind of had to. "That makes my stomach churn" Chris said, looking down, on his face a discusted look was still on it. He knew that Mackenzie didn't do that, at all really. Hell half of the stuff they said to eachother was either stuipid, an inside joke or blackmail.
The boy shrugged "Probably. You know what the sad thing was, nobody blamed Ryan, they just blamed me. I mean seriously 'oh, he had nothing to do with it, you started it all' fricken negative influence" Chris kicked out his foot. "Probably, I wasn't aiming for you right away though, you were just an ickle first year" he said a grin going across hif face again. "Hey, I have a good arm, and I'm not too old, but I don't want to throw the food right now, quite frankly I just want to eat" Chris said, looking around, seeing the elf that had hit him keeping a good eye on him. Chris sighed, leaning his head on Mackenzie.

When Chris put his head on her shoulder, Kenzie felt something funny down in her stomach. At first she thought that maybe it was the tuna. Maybe it wasn’t the best, and it was upsetting her stomach? But no, it couldn’t be, the house elves never used bad food. A second later, a something came to her, but she pushed it out of her head. It was stupid, there was no way she got butterflies because Chris was leaning on her, he had down this before, tons of times, so why did this time cause the little jolt in her stomach. Feeling her cheeks heat up a bit, she closed her eyes and tried to think. How should she act, she was never in situations like this before. God she was so awkward at times. “Mmm.” She said agreeing with him about Ryan. It was the only thing that made sense for her to do. Without thinking, she leaned her head on his. They were friends, good friends, they did this all the time...so why were her cheeks turning pink? “I remember once I got mashed potatoes stuck in my hair...” She said, breaking the silence between them. “It sucked. I kinda miss food fights now...” [/blockquote]
