Petra
sometimes I wish you'd cease to exist
She looked at him, sarcasm evident in her face. "Oh, I don't know. How about Petra?" she said scathingly, shaking her head at him. She glanced out at the rain, hoping it had miraculously stopped, when Rick burst out with something like the first sign of annoyance she had found from him during their whole meeting. He stood up, flourishing and indicating that it was okay for her to sit too.
"I'm fine standing. And since when do you care whether I'm going to collapse, or hurt myself, or anything about me? You didn't when you bro-" Petra cut herself off, not wanting to reveal that little piece of information to him. He didn't have that right. She turned away from him for a moment, thinking of a way to amend the almost-comment. "The only person you care about is yourself, and what you want. Which is pretty much girls, and lots of them."
She stopped, feeling her anger was possibly getting a little too much, although a larger part of herself thought he deserved much worse. With a sigh, she sat down, and then tiredly murmured, "Oh, you can sit if you want." It was probably the nicest thing she had said to him in years. She didn't want to seem soft, though, so she racked her brains for something harsh. Her brain clicked.
"So, tell me," Petra began conversationally. Her tone would lead him into a false sense of security, making him think she was okay with him now. Her face darkened suddenly. "Are you still with the bitch you cheated on me with? Oh, and the others you were probably with too - I'm guessing there were more. Or did they realise what you were like and leave you too, after you made them fall for you too?" She realised what she had opened up to a moment after she said it, and looked away.
It didn't take her long to know he wasn't going to answer. In many ways, Petra was glad. It meant she didn't have to deal with the mocking she was sure to get as soon as he recovered his voice. She didn't care about the rain, and she certainly was not going to say farewell. Without even offering a parting glance, Petra walked off into the pouring rain, keeping her dignity intact.
