( this pain is just too REAL. ] She felt tension in the air, she could almost hear him apologizing a thousand times. Couldn't she tell him that it wasn't him that bothered her? More of the fact that his heart is taken and he finds Chasper... attractive. She sighed, "Please believe me when I say you didn't do anything wrong," she looked at him, apology written on her face.
"Uh, what were we doing again?" he asked, looking around, frantically. She smiled a little at how freaked out he was.
"I don't know... I wasn't paying much attention," she giggled and looked around her at the other students, she mentally slapped herself for giggling again.
"Right," and he ran off with the pot, filling it with dirt and whatnot and coming back with the green liquid. She was silent for a moment, just staring at him. Chasper then shook her head and laughed. Not only was he attractive, but he was also amusing.
He laughed before asking, "What next, Chasper Jasper?" she raised and eyebrow, not exactly sure why he used her last name. Probably because it was more catchy that way, or it was calling him.
She smiled, "Well, I suppose we put some of this green liquid on the plant," she looked around at the busy students once more before looking back and nodding, "Yep, that's what we do," she cocked her head to the side. It was a bit of a habit...
For some odd reason, she felt a little more cheerful than she was seven minutes ago. Mentally taking note of the change of emotion with Zoltin around, she took the bottle and put a few drops on the plant and set it back down.
Sighing, she looked around once more, "Sort of wish I was paying attention, now..." she muttered. Not paying attention was all fine and dandy, but once you start having to do some things, like experiments or something, it makes you wish that you were paying attention.
[Note to self:; pay attention a little more in Herbology.] {Note to Chasper:; make some friends.} [Note to voice-about-to-be-stabbed:; shut the hell up. No one asked you for your opinion.]
She looked over at Zoltin now, "What next, Zoltin Zerbest?" she grinned, playfully. Another mental slap.

. . ! I'M walking ON sunshine[/blockquote] "Well, I suppose we put some of this green liquid on the plant. Yep, that's what we do." Zoltin laughed at her casualness, like they weren't way behind. "Sort of wish I was paying attention, now." He agreed with that. This was the first time in a long time, meaning fifth year, that he had drifted off so much in class. He had daydreamed a bit, but had at least been keeping one ear out for directions and understanding. That was the thing, in every class, except History [which he actually liked...a lot], the odds that you'd use the information in real life was pretty much 100%. Who knew, maybe one day this plant he had no idea about would end up saving his life.
"What next, Zoltin Zerbest?" she grinned. On reflex, he grinned back, all focus on her smile. Which made him go completely blank.
"Uh," he started, taking another look around the room. They were all paying attention to Prof Longbottom and what he was saying. If they wanted to blend in, they needed to as well. He held his finger up to his lips while nodding to her and sliding into a seat.
"We're really screwed," Zoltin laughed in a whisper.

}but once you change your name{ Things were lighter now that Chasper had laughed and smiled. She was glad that it wasn't so tense or depressing, that she could actually... live a little. Which she desperately needed to do.
"Uh," he looked around once more to find out what they were doing next. Chasper took a quick glance, noticing how all eyes seemed to be on Longbottom. Zoltin slid into his chair and acted like he was listening, she stifled a laugh at how he looked. But she sat down also and pushed her hair out of her face, just to have it fall back down once more. Looking over at Longbottom, she started to listen a little bit. His voice tuned in and out as if he were a broken radio.
"We're really screwed," Chasper laughed softly so that she didn't disturb the concentrating students. Zoltin was right, they were so screwed, they would have to watch everyone else to do the work, and even then it might come out messed up.
She heard Longbottom say, "Then take the yellow seeds and sprinkle them around the plant, in the soil," he started demonstrating what to do and soon, all the students were doing the same thing.
Chasper looked over at Zoltin, "Sprinkle some yellow seeds, apparently..." she grabbed a small bag full of yellow seeds and opened it, "Wonder how much we put in there..." she muttered, looking over at Longbottom. Had he said how much to put on there? She gazed at the seeds, "Crap," she said, casually.

. . ! I'M walking ON sunshine[/blockquote] He laughed, "Yeah, I got that part," and winked, still smiling. Zoltin then watched as Chasper grabbed the seed bag and opened it, creating a small ripping sound he could barely hear.
"Wonder how much we put in there...Crap." Again, he coughed out a bundle of laughter. She was just so casual and quiet and fun about everything. It was great not to take a class seriously, completely guessing.
He took a scan of the room, an action of which that proved to be useless. None of them were carefully picking out how many seeds out of the little container, and Zoltin couldn't see froma far how many yellow pieces they had in their hands. "How about," he started, "we just do a handful?" Chasper turned the bag to its side and tapped the back of it so that the seeds sprinkled out onto his hand. They nodded at each other when they had figured that was enough, and he dropped them all around the plant so that they lied on top of the soil. They looked sort of like abandoned skittles.
"Now, take the green seeds," the professor indicated which seeds with his hand, "and put one of them into that bud at the top of the flower." The pair did so in sync with the rest of the classmates, only smiling at each other. Somehow, they seemed to be managing. "Oh, and don't forget to place the empty yellow seed containers in that basket over there."
"Empty?" he gasped under his breath. Zoltin shifted his eyes to look into Chasper's and they both had that 'oh crap' look in their eyes. Which just made them bend in laughter again. "Put them in now!" was all he could think of. "Maybe it won't matter the order."
But, his assumption proved wrong, as the plant began to change its hue to a bright blue that glowed as if it had a heartbeat.

( this pain is just too REAL. ] She saw Zoltin look around once more, "How about, we just do a handful?" he asked. Nodding, she dropped a few in his hands and he sprinkled them on the plant. They listened to the next instructions.
"Now, take the green seeds," the professor indicated which seeds with his hand, "and put one of them into that bud at the top of the flower." they then did just as they were told, looking back over to Longbottom until the next instructions were given out. "Oh, and don't forget to place the empty yellow seed containers in that basket over there."
Chasper's head snapped over to Zoltin, who was laughing at their mistake, "Frick," she laughed, grabbing the seeds once more, quickly.
"Put them in now!" he urged her, "Maybe it won't matter the order." he looked around to make sure no one noticed their mistake and she giggled as she sprinkled the rest of the seeds into the soil.
But, to their surprise, the order did matter. The plant changed color, started to glow... she stared at it with wide eyes, "Yep, we're screwed," she said, casually, nodding and pursing her lips.
Longbottom started walking around to see everyone's results. When he got to their station, however, his eyes grew wide, "Oh, no... you put the seeds in after you put the seed in the flower, didn't you?" he asked, looking at them both.
She winced, "Possibly..." her eyes shifted from side to side and she moved over a little, trying to hide the plant behind her.
Longbottom sighed, "I do believe you're going to have to chuck it outside and start over..." he shook his head and walked away.
Chasper looked over at Zoltin "Well, that's not cool..." she blinked.

. . ! I'M walking ON sunshine[/blockquote] "Or," he raised both eyebrows toward the retreating shape of Professor Longbottom, "we could just use the vanishing spell. Evanesco!"
"Well, that's not cool..." she blinked. Yet again, he giggled at Chasper's mannerisms. They were the greatest. There was no censoring in any of them, and they just seemed to come so natural. He admired that.
"No, but at least now we have an excuse to not pay attention," he whispered before sprinting over to a new flower pot and dipping it into the soil bag once again until it was full. Zoltin returned to Chasper, bending over ninety degrees in a bow, holding up the pot for her. "Here you go, mademoiselle."
"So, Chasper Jasper," he sang in a whisper so to not disturb the other students, "how are you enjoying Herbology?"

( this pain is just too REAL. ] Chasper shook her head at the plant, "Stupid little bugger..." she muttered. Oh, how she wanted to get out of this class already. "Or, we could just use the vanishing spell. Evanesco!" Chasper shrugged, "If we chucked it outside then maybe we could have escaped..." she looked at him, giving him a cheesy grin on purpose.
"No, but at least now we have an excuse to not pay attention," Chasper giggled as he ran off to get a new pot and get it set up. He came back and bowed to her, handing her the pot, "Here you go, mademoiselle." she playfully rolled her eyes and took the pot setting it down on the table once more.
"Alright, green liquid," she grabbed the green liquid and put some on the plant, hoping that this time she was doing it in the right order, she'd hate to have to start over once more, "Now the seeds... I believe," she set the bottle down and grabbed a new pack of yellow seeds, sprinkling all the seeds in the bag into the soil except for one.
"So, Chasper Jasper," she heard him singing her name in a whisper and she giggled quietly, "how are you enjoying Herbology?" he asked, smiling as she stuck the seed into the flower.
"Hmm... well, I do have to say it's one of the most interesting classes I've had in Herbology..." she looked at him and smiled, "And how are you enjoying it?" she poked his chest and looked over at the plant. It started to flash different colors, and not stay just one ominous color. She didn't notice that she had done it wrong once more. Chasper smiled and looked back up at Zoltin. Yeah... she was a bit short... just a bit.

. . ! I'M walking ON sunshine[/blockquote] "Hmm... well, I do have to say it's one of the most interesting classes I've had in Herbology...And how are you enjoying it?" He was about to reply to her, but the changing colors of the plant had diverted his attention. They'd done it wrong...again. It all seemed too familiar, and not just because they had performed the assignment twice.
And that's when he realized it. Why he had forgotten his books for Herbology, why he hadn't met this lovely girl before, why it felt like deja vu. He had done this last year, and the plat they were working on actually worked very well in a healing potion that they had stocked in the hospital wing. That's why they were making it. And that's why Katrina or any of the other Gryffindors of the sixth year were in this class. Why hadn't he realized that sooner? And wasn't Longbottom supposed to be on top of things?
He began chuckling, holding his stomach with one arm while he performed the vanishing charm once more. "It's supposed to glow red," Zoltin said between laughs, "see?" and motioned to the other plants.
"How about we take your advice and escape?" there was a large grin on his face. Even though he used up a free hour to work in a class, he had no regrets.

( this pain is just too REAL. ] Zoltin started to laugh, but before she could as why, he vanished the pot away once more and looked around, "It's supposed to glow red," he laughed once more, "see?" he pointed to the other students' plants that were glowing red, happily.
She looked back at him and stuck her tongue out, "It's not my fault I don't have any idea what I'm doing in this class," she crossed her arms and acted like she was mad at him.
"How about we take your advice and escape?" he asked her, grinning bigger than she had seen him grin since she met him. She laughed, "Alright," she agreed, "and your plan is?" she asked, cocking her head to the side and smiling slyly.
And what if he didn't have a plan? Did she have a plan? Nope, not at all. She'd just have to wing it if he didn't have a plan. Or maybe she could quickly think one up now. So while she was waiting for him to say his plan - if he had one - she started to think of a way to get out. Plan... she never seemed to have one.
