. . # I AM music AND I WRITE THE songs[/blockquote] Ah, Herbology. A peaceful, yet challenging, class. And he was almost late. Well, that's what he got for forgetting his books in the common room, which he still couldn't explain. How could he have forgotten? He knew he had this class today, he had thought about it while scrubbing his teeth, wondering what they would be doing. He'd laughed as he remembered a prior class in it before where Rickles had gotten in trouble. Of course, so had Zoltin, but the funnier part was with Channingdude, since he wasn't even supposed to be in that class.
He scurried forward with his books in hand, slipping and sliding and nearly slamming into the walls. But he made it the the greenhouses. And in time. Just, he took down a casualty with him in the process.

only {you] can stop [me} from falling Quickly running over to the greenhouse, she tried to remember if she had forgotten anything. Mentally noting that Herbology was about to start in about five minutes, she ran faster, but it was no use. She would be late even if she ran faster. She groaned, not wanting to do this, she transfigured into her wolf form. Black, gray, and white, [ with a blue streak ] jumped over to the front of the Herbology class door. She quickly transfigured back into her normal shape and opened the door. Glancing at the clock, she gave a half smile, just a second later and she would have been late. Chasper let out a sigh of relief.
"Close, Miss Jasper..." Proffessor Longbottom warned her, giving her a small, sly smile.
She nodded once, and just then, a Gryffie came in, bumping into her and almost knocking her down. She stopped herself from falling before she had a chance.
Turning around, she cocked her head to the side, "Sorry... for being in the way," she aplogized, her voice full of Canadian heritage.
{Why in the world are you apologizing? He bumped into you.}
{You're insane.} [Yeah, thought so.]

. . # I AM music AND I WRITE THE songs[/blockquote] His books had fallen, but at least he hadn't completely wiped out the person he'd bumped into. Which surprised him because he had been going so fast, but he guessed he just overestimated his effect. He did that sometimes.
The blond witch he'd run into stood before him, apologizing for...being in the way. That was the first surprising thing. And then he got a good look at her. There was so much beauty he had to take to a few steps backward to fully see. And her eyes. The one on the right was green while the other one was blue, both very elegantly placed and adapted. While Katrina was the only one for him, she made his heart jump in his throat.
"I should be apologizing," he finally conjured, bending over to pick up his things, "I ran into you. Sorry," he laughed slightly, nervous and unsure of what to say. "I left my books in the common room and-." Zoltin was completely dissolved in her look. How come he had never seen her before? "What's your name?"

only {you] can stop [me} from falling Noticing how he seemed to be distracted, she was about to walk away, seeing as he didn't look like he was going to say anything. But he started apologizing, "I should be apologizing," he bent down to retrieve his books, she felt bad for not picking them up herself, "I ran into you. Sorry," after grabbing his books, he gave her a nervous laugh. Why was he nervous?
{Hello? Dude, what can you do at this moment to find out why?} [But do I have to?] {If you want to know why he's all... yeah.}
"It's fine," she allowed a small smile escape her as she thought whether or not she should completely invade his mind.
He went on to explain himself, he didn't have to... it wasn't a big deal, really, "I left my books in the common room and-." he had stopped short, not finishing his sentence. She waited for him to speak once more, "What's your name?" he decided to ask her.
She hesitated, why? He was just a student, and a Gryffie at that. But she didn't judge people by what house they were in or how they looked or whatever, she felt the need to find out about them herself. Does reading their mind count?
"Chasper. Chasper Jasper," she introduced herself, "And you are?" she asked, politely.
He still gave her that look, like he was lost or something. Desperately wanting to know why, she silently cursed herself before reading his mind. She felt a tad bit confused when she found out that he thought of her as attractive. Now when had that happened?
Chasper studied him carefully, he wasn't bad looking himself. His shaggy, silver hair... swirling green eyes... handsome, angelic facial structure... sort of a bad-boy look going to him. She smiled a little, he was far from decent looking, but what about his personality? So far, she thought he was pretty nice, but could that change in the near future? She cursed at herself once more for being so paranoid.

. . x IS THIS THE sweet sound THAT CALLS THE young sailors?[/blockquote] Zoltin found her name to be wonderfully lyrical. Chasper Jasper. He bet she got made fun of a lot as a kid, or at least people said her name a lot. There was no way he could say just Chasper, which was such a unique name, he had to say the whole thing. And he'd probably sing it, too. Chasper Jasper.
"Chasper Jasper," he hummed, smiling without his teeth, "that's a great name. I'm Zoltin," he bowed slightly, and for what reason he wasn't really sure. Whenever he was happy he went a bit all out, but, then again, Zoltin was just a silly guy.
"Sorry again for running into you, but I'm glad I met you," his heart jumped yet again when looking at her face, and so he quickly jerked his head away and trotted into the green house. They were already starting, but it looked like they were just looking at a plant for now. Something about it hating sunlight or something...
He was just a bit too preoccupied to pay attention.

only {you] can stop [me} from falling After telling him her name, he started to smile, which sent shivers up her spine, causing her to have goosebumps on her arms. She rubbed her arm, trying to rub the goosebumps off, but it was no use.
"Chasper Jasper," he was still smiling that too cute smile of his, "that's a great name. I'm Zoltin," Chasper giggled when he bowed. She hadn't giggled like - dare I say it? - like a little school girl in a long long time. She silently cursed herself for being such a freak.
"Zoltin's a unique name..." she mused, cocking her head to the side, "It's different... very interesting," she felt a twinge of interest rush through her. Really, would she ever stop having so many emotions at one time?
"Sorry again for running into you, but I'm glad I met you," Zoltin was still smiling, still making Chasper shiver, still making her wonder what he was thinking.
{You can... just do it.}
{Oh, just do it.}
Going into his mind once more, all she heard was more thoughts on how attractive she was and how he really was glad he had met her. She had to fight the blush that tried so hard to invade her bubble.
Suddenly, Zoltin walked away, which caused her to want to read his mind once more. But she refused to be like that, it just didn't feel right to her. She sighed and walked over to her seat, not paying much attention to Professor Longbottom. She didn't care much for Herbology, she didn't know why, really. It was interesting, yes... but she just didn't have a knack for identifying herbs or anything like that. But Defense Against the Dark Arts, o nthe other hand... that was made for her.
She heard Longbottom say to pick up your plant in its pot and wait for further instructions. Reaching to grab her pot, she held it in her pale hands. She spaced out once more, staring out the window, wishing she could go on her broom and just fly around, enjoying the breeze against her face and the sun on her skin.
Just then, she felt a tap on her shoulder, it scared her, causing her to jump and drop her pot. It landed on the floor with a loud crash of broken class. She stared at it, mentally asking it why it had to go and drop like that. She bent down and started cleaning it up, not paying much attention to Longbottom telling her that it wasn't a big deal. Herbology seemed to be her spacing out class...

. . x IS THIS THE sweet sound THAT CALLS THE young sailors?[/blockquote] His daydreaming was cut-off by a crash. For some reason, he just knew it was Chasper Jasper, in reality. It was a good thing she did that, too, because he hadn't been following any of the directions. Somehow a savior.
He whisked himself in her direction, and so it was only moments before he was on the ground beside her, helping her pick it all up. Not like they had to use their hands, they both knew the spell to clean it all up. But, Zoltin had always been more of a muggle-first, wizard-second kind of guy, and she was probably just caught up in her thoughts.
He wondered what she was thinking about. Behind her multi-colored eyes of divinity, under her full head of soft blond hair, under her attractive frame, what lied behind? Zoltin felt that she had a great personality, and if she wasn't so gorgeous he could be friends with her. Not that he couldn't now, it would just be a bit difficult to not drift off around her.
Zoltin instantly felt horrible inside. He couldn't be feeling this way. But he was. He was betraying Katrina. There was no way he could continue being completely infatuated by her. He would learn. He would figure it out. He would be friends with her, and not suddenly be off on a weightless cloud. But, Zoltin wasn't sure if that was just him trying to trick himself.
"Careful," he smiled, before magicking the pot back to its original state with a flick of his wand, "maybe I should stick around. You're a bit accident prone, whether that be because everyone else is magnetized towards you or just a personality trait."

only {you] can stop [me} from falling In just a few seconds, Zoltin was right next to her, helping her clean up the mess. She glanced at him, confusion pouring around her thoughts. But she shook her head slightly and continued picking up the broken pieces.
They were both silent and class was continuing on again, which neither bothered to pay attention to. She let out a little sigh in boredom of being in this class. Why couldn't they have Quidditch practice instead? Or DADA?
"Careful," Zoltin smiled at her, sendign more shivers up her spine. Suddenly, the pot pieces flew out of her hand and remade itself into a pot once more. She knew she could have done that all along, but then it would mean that she would have to stare at something to make the time go by faster. Or end up being scared again and breaking another pot.
"Maybe I should stick around. You're a bit accident prone, whether that be because everyone else is magnetized towards you or just a personality trait," his words caused Chasper to break out in a blush. And it didn't help much that she was as pale as ever. That made it look like she painted her face red.
[Dammit. Stop now.] {Hahaha! Oh, god, that's funny.} [Shut up before I slap you right out of my head.] {Riiiight, that's not possible. You'd just be slapping yourself and looking like even more of a freak.} [Watch me.]
Chasper stood up, wiping the dirt off her hands. She glanced at him, "I'm thinking it's just a personality trait... I don't get many people magnetized towards me," she looked away, a bit ashamed that she had to be all depressing and -
{Stupid? Yeah, I was thinking that too.}
"Thanks, by the way. For helping me out and... and being so nice," she gave him a nice half-smile. For some reason, she was a bit happy that he decided to stick around just in case.
But reading his mind... she knew it wasn't just because she was accident prone. Also reading his mind, she knew that he had a girlfriend. So, mentally slapping herself and regretting even coming to Herbology when she probably could have skipped it somehow... she started fiddling with her fingers.

. . ! I'M walking ON sunshine[/blockquote] "I'm thinking it's just a personality trait... I don't get many people magnetized towards me. Thanks, by the way. For helping me out and... and being so nice." She seemed happy enough that he was around at first, which in turn made him light up, but then she suddenly looked regretful. His heart plummeted. Surely she was thinking about something else? What had he done? He didn't mean anything by it, whatever it was.
"Uh," he paused, attempting to regain his facial features and poise, "what were we doing again?" With a quick look around the room, the answer was obvious. They were putting a plant in a pot. But there were probably things to do before that, weren't there? Yes. Indeed. A group behind the others, but still way ahead of them, was carefully placing some sort of soil in their plot and then 'watering' it with a green liquid.
"Right," he swiftly took the pot in one hand, speedwalked over to the soil, dipped the pot inside it and then scraped it through until it was full. Then he swiped a bottle of the liquid and brought it over, placing it gently next to the pot.
His brain felt like it had apparated out of his skull. He felt on the ends, worried about what what Chasper Jasper must think of him. Did she notice how awed he was, how possibly flirtatious he was. It had been a long time since he'd had the chance to do that, nowadays he was very obvious, but only because Katrina and him were hooked. There was nothing to be ashamed of. This was...oh the guilt that plagued him.
Only friends, his heart pulsated through his body, nothing more. He held his nose between his fingers as some sort of concentrating technique. Zoltin knew that he was attracted to Chasper Jasper, for both her beauty and her personality he had barely uncovered, but he also knew he wouldn't go any farther than an attraction. It wasn't like he had to barricade himself, that was just all this was. An attraction. And even if it wasn't, which was not true, he wouldn't do that to himself or Kat or Chasper Jasper. It was too much for any heart to handle.
Finally calmed, Zoltin laughed, "What next, Chasper Jasper?"
