Bad Caleb! Towering shelves shot up from the floor, forming grand multicolored walls all around randomly placed study tables. As far as Caleb could tell, nobody else was down here in the Library. He was counting on it, as he often did. Luckily, the only people who spent copious amounts in the library on a regular basis were Ravenclaws, who were already so absorbed in what they were doing that they didn't notice a sneaky little Slytherin creep into the restricted section. Most people would assume that he would wait until night time, but that was exactly when the prefects and professors were on watch: night was when everyone expected you do to it, so security was tighter. Besides, he was an O student, which was helpful. He just had to have that book now - dark magic was an addiction of sorts for him. He'd convinced himself somewhere along the line that he could use it for a good reason. To him, any sort knowledge shouldn't be cut off. Even bad things could be used for something good. He approached the black, cast - iron gate that separated the library from the restricted section. Then he stopped - there was someone coming.

hmmm... Ariadne heaved her bulging school bag through the towering libary doors. She still had four subjects of homework to do. She dumped her bag onto a small, round table and looked gloomily at it- putting off opening it. How hard could it be? Hard enough for her to take a short wander around the libaryy. Ariadne had aqlways loved this room. It was so spectacular with it's towering shelves filled to the brim with colorful, thick books. She ran her hand along a row of charms books, taking in their rough texture and rustic smell. She must look like such a freak. Yes, she was receiving some very odd looks from the studious ravenclaws at a table near to her. She couldn't help it, the room was so spectacular and magnificant with it's arched, high, wooden ceiling with intricate pattens and quotes from famous wizards. She saw many names from the back of the chocolate frog cards. She saw somebody out of the corner of her eye. He was tall and looked slightly older then herself. He was looking slightly shifty as he lingered near to the entrance of the restricted section. She frowned slightly and walked over to him, trying to make herself look slightly taller as she did. "What are you doing?"

Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto. Caleb looked over and saw a girl who was at least two years younger than him – he was pretty tall for his age for starters, and this girl was just tiny. He stifled a laugh as she straightened her spine and began to walk slightly on her tip-toes. Intimidating was certainly not something she was. Whatever this little girl saw he could deal with – he had his legal magic, too. Legal magic, while it wasn’t nearly as fun as the dark stuff, had a few tricks of its own. “Hey, you haven’t seen a Magical Draughts And Potions book around here for fifth ears, have you?” He asked, taking out his wand but keeping it tucked neatly inside his sleeve, away from sight. What he said was enough to keep her occupied for the moment. “ Obliviate,” He whispered, knowing that all her lovely memories of what she just saw would be nice and gone. This wasn’t the first time he’d had to do this, and he wasn’t going to take any chances. You could never be too careful or too stupid. The girl blinked, her pupils dilated to the point where he thought she had craters in her face, and he was satisfied. She would be stunned for at least a little while, and that was long enough for him to get into the restricted section and out of sight. So, he quickly undid the locks on the gate (which was something he’d memorized) and stepped through, going to the farthest section of the long room. He was in a garrison of shelves now, and perfectly hidden from sight. All he had to do was find that book…

The boy seemed to be restraining laughter- irritating the hell out of Ariadne. He was probablt laughing at her because she didn't look tough or threatening. She could pull that off easy. She looked up at him with cold, dark eyes and raised a thin eyebrow.
“Hey, you haven’t seen a Magical Draughts And Potions book around here for fifth ears, have you?” He asked
"Strangly not, most fourth years don't know much about where to find fifth years books." she said coldly. Man that sounded weird! Why couldn't she just come out with comebacks straight away rather then thinking of the hours lateer?
“Obliviate,” He whispered, knowing that all her lovely memories of what she just saw would be nice and gone.
Ari was totally confused, why was she here? Where was here? Who was this boy? How the hell did she end up here? The last thing she could remember was that morning in the great hall... and this definetly wasn't the great hall.
Suddenly the tall boy was gone through some doors. She followed him, still dazed and half out of it. She didn't know where this door lead but it musen't be to bad if this boy was going in there. He looked nice.

Hello! A Guide to Heinous Hexes, A Guide to Heinous Hexes… Where is it? Caleb wondered, frantically scurrying around the room like a deranged weasel. He’d looked under the E section plenty of times, but apparently Xander Everstung wasn’t in this library’s collection. He sat down in one of the tarnished black studying chairs in defeat, and then he heard the door open again. He looked up quickly to see the little short fourth year who had challenged him earlier. He was going to have a total head palm moment now, he thought he’d gotten rid of her! Oh well. He could always damage her brain cells some more if he had to. Fortunately, she still looked dazed and hazy, trapped in a thick fog. Her eyes were still glassed over and milky – she obviously didn’t know where she was. She also seemed to be coming in his direction, much to his horror. He stood up and turned back around, facing the old, dusty bookshelves. E… Finally! He’d found it, A Guide to Heinous Hexes. He slipped it into a book cover, entitled Owls and their Eating Habits, which he’d nicked from the library last Tuesday. This was all done in his abyss of dark robes, so the girl wouldn’t see. He faced her again, smiling nicely at her. “You alright over there? You look kind of spaced out.” He asked warmly, knowing he could get away with what he just did due to her grogginess.
