Burgundy Moore
Burgundy stepped into the courtyard, the sun shining right into her brown eyes. She had to put her right hand on her forehead to shield her eyes from the bright rays. Someone should turn that damn thing down. She walked along the pathway for a few, bored out of her mind.
She was just wearing a light blue t-shirt with her light jeans. She didn't have anything to do today so she decided no robes. Woo for that. She decided to sit down on the stone bench, maybe she would just relax. That sounded like a plan.

Matthew CunningMatthew stepped out into the glaring sun and sighed. Damn, it was hot out today, but he'd rather be outside then in the castle. Matthew pulled his sweater off and threw it over his shoulders. Today he was just wearing skinny jeans and a blue t-shirt. No classes, which meant no huge robe.
Matt looked around the courtyard at all the people and spotted a familiar blonde he knew. Matt walked up behind and sat down on the bench next to her. "Hey beautiful," Matt whispered and smiled at her.

"Hey beautiful," A familiar voice carried itself to her ears and she instantly smiled. She turned her head toward him. "Hey handsome." She got that funny feeling in the pit of her stomach again, like she always did when she was with him. Her heart started racing a little and she probably turned a little pink.
Her and Matt had been on and off for years now. Ever since his first year here. She wondered what kept them going like they were, but it didn't matter. It was either love or a really strong crush. Either was possible. "How was your summer?" She asked, turning to face him and crossing her legs Indian style on the bench. She looked into his piercing blue eyes, she usually always got lost in them.

Matthew CunningMatt and Burgundy were always off and on. Matt was unsure if they were on right now. Something in his gut said off... for right now atleast. That's probably what annoyed Laney so much was the fact that neither of them ever knew.
"Summer was fun, missed you though," Matt replied smiling at her. Sure, it was fun seeing friends again and family. He had missed his little sister but being without Burgundy was boring. "How was yours?" Matt asked and smiled as he looked into Burgundy eyes. Once he did that, no one else was around.

"Summer was fun, missed you though," Matt smiled at her. She smiled back. She had missed him too, she had missed a lot of people actually, but he was near the top, if not at it. Although, if she remembered correctly they currently weren't dating, which made her sad because she liked dating him. He was really the only guy she had ever gone out with here, except for the occasional one inbetween their relationships, but that didn't matter. What mattered was that they were here and maybe they were both single?
"How was yours?" He looked into her eyes right then and she felt herself melt inside. "Boring. I didn't really do anything except lazed around." She shrugged. She really didn't do much, maybe the occasional beach visits, but oh well.

Matthew CunningMatt though about asking her out right then and there. But was she single? Did she meet someone over summer break? Questions started popping into Matt's head like trivia... and Matt sucked at trivia. This was so confusing sometimes. Matt really liked Burgundy, maybe loved. Gawd, he had to figure this out.
"That's the best part," Matt said and laughed his cute, adorable laugh. "Um, did you meet anybody?" Matt said scratching the back of his head and lowering his eyes. Woah, talk about forward. Well, too late now. Matt looked back up at Burgundy and waited for a reply.

"Um, did you meet anybody? He had asked out of the blue. She blinked. No, she didn't think she did. She was still single. Maybe he met somebody though? That would suck. That would suck big time because right now her heart was going crazy and it felt like butterflies were in her stomach. She merely shook her head. "No, I haven't." She smiled at him. He was just too cute.
"Have you?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. She wondered if he had, if he had then great, that was awesome for him, and if not then that was even better. She never understood why they kept breaking up if they just kept getting back together, but she could say that she really liked him, maybe even love.

Matthew CunningMatthew smiled at her reaction. He expected that. She was surprised. But the answer surprised Matthew more. No? That was hard to believe. She was so beautiful and smart and well, he could go on all day. Once the surprise took place Matt just smiled back at her. The butterflies in his stomach soon fading.
"Nope," Matthew said and smiled at Burgundy again. "I guess there's only really one girl for me," Matt confessed to her and looked her in the eyes. Matthew believed that if you ever told the truth, the only way people would believe you is by looking them in the eyes. And it was so easy to get lost in Burgundy's... not like it was torture. "I guess there's only really one girl for me," She blushed when he said this. That was the sweetest thing anyone had ever said to her. She knew he was talking about her too, she could just feel it. She stared right into his lovely blue eyes, smiling like a complete idiot. She really shouldn't have let things ended between them.
"That was the sweetest thing anyone's ever said to me." She admitted. "There's really only one boy for me." She replied back, knowing full well that there was. Maybe she had had a few flings but they were nothing compared to what she felt for him.
