Burgandy's blond hair bounced as she walked towards her destination, the Great Hall. She was starving, and if she walked any slower then she was she would miss the great food that seemed to driff toward her nose. She crinkled it, her stomach growling loud enough for everyone to hear. Great, just what she needed. Soon she found herself inside the Great Hall, surrounded by food and chatter. Sitting down next to just anybody she helped herself to some mashed potatoes and chicken, she was very picky about her food. "Oh this is so good." She commented to herself, and her stomach seemed happy.

Nick did not like the library. The books there reeked of dust and not of the irresistible scent of brand new one. Not like Flourish & Botts. And it bothered him. So for the past two years he had faithfully woken up earlier than the rest of his house to get some silent reading in in the great hall. Today the silence had been as blissful as ever and Nick had flourished in it, nearly finishing his book. That is untill his room mates blundered in talking about some mudbloods they beat up. Nick's crystal blue eyes had attempted to continue to read but it was in haste and his clumsy friend had a bowl of oatmeal that was signaling to nick that it was time to move. He walked quietly over to another end of the table where a blonde girl sat, perhaps waiting for her friends.

Burgundy didn't see any of her friends yet, what little friends she did have, but that was okay. Soon she had finished her food and she was growing quite bored, just sitting there with her head in her hands, her brown eyes just glancing around the hall. She sighed, now unsure of what to do. There was a boy, with dark hair and amazing blue eyes, maybe she could bother him for a little. She scooted closer to him, but tried to make it unnoticeable, which was quite hard because she would probably make something fall or fall backwards herself. "Er, I don't mean to be annoying but I don't have anyone to talk to and I'm bored and desperate." She frowned. She was such a creeper right now.

"Er, I don't mean to be annoying but I don't have anyone to talk to and I'm bored and desperate."
"Sorry?" Nick said looking up at the sound of a soprano voice. It was that blonde girl, sitting alarmingly close. He tried to put a name to her face. A fifth year, he guessed, Burgundy was it? What a strange name.. he thought to himself.
"Sorry to disappoint you, but I am not much of a talker," he said calmly looking straight into her amber brown eyes. Her body language told him that she was disappointed. That bothered him somewhat.
"Though I am a good listener," he said with a tone that lacked enthusiasm and at the same time was empathetic. He barely ever had people to talk to either. His eyes drifted sadly to the cover of his book for a moment but then back to the pale plains of her face.

"Sorry to disappoint you, but I am not much of a talker,"
She should have guessed. She knew that he didn't talk much, and if she had been paying attention to his face she would have registered that and talked to someone else instead of the sixth year sitting before her. She thought his name was Nick or something. She was disappointed, she liked talking, a lot. But no matter, if he didn't want to be bothered then that was fine, she didn't want him to feel uncomfortable.
"Though I am a good listener,"
"Well, I tend to talk a lot, your sure your up for it?" She warned him. She didn't want to bore him with her constant talking. She scooted back a little, realizing that she may have just gotten a little too close to him, she did not want him to think she was a creep, that would end badly for the fifth year right here.

NIKOLAUS&_HEWITT "Well, I tend to talk a lot, your sure your up for it?"
"Go ahead.. um, Burgundy right?" He said politely," I`m Nick." He almost smiled. What was with this school and pretty girls? He'd seen her more than a couple times before actually.
"Yeah, I was walking in the corridor outside the transfiguration room the other day and I thought I saw you getting yelled at by the Professor, am I wrong?" He almost smiled as he said this," I don't know what you did but I heard some pretty big noises when I was walking around."
His friends all lived for chaos, which in Nick's opinion would be funny if they weren't getting points taken off for it. Not Nick though, not if he was going to become head boy.

She gulped. "Oh, you heard that?" She nervously laughed. She had caused a riot because she was late and she had argued about being late. Whoops. Burgundy almost had the nerve to look at the transfiguration teacher and glare at her, but she had more self control then that right now.
"Ah yeah, I was late and I was arguing my case, although it didn't work." She frowned. She had still gotten in trouble. That wasn't the best day of her life, but what could you do?

"Ah yeah, I was late and I was arguing my case, although it didn't work."
"Well, it happens to the best of us," He said smiling easily at her," It couldn't have been too bad right? I don't get into trouble too much, I've found ways around stuff like that." And your very good at that..
"I was the one running that illegal potion supply thing in the Slytherin Common room. Somebody told a Gryiffindor though and I had to give them my entire supply of gillyweed to get them not to turn me in.." He mused. Stupid, stupid Griffindors..
That was a little weird.. Nick never opened up to people much. He supposed it helped because she was a Slytherin like him, as opposed to those Ravenclaw girls he kept meeting, he had nothing to hide from her.

"You were running that?" She asked, her eyes growing wider. She didn't think that Nick could do it, he was always so quiet. But she had always been told to beware of the quiet ones. "Hm, I'm impressed." She crossed her arms over her chest. She was really impressed, that had been going on for so long.
"Those Gryiffindor's always ruin all the fun." She rolled her eyes. She wasn't too fond of those people, they always got in the way of some fun, it was like they had a killjoy radar for everytime a Slytherin had fun. What was up with that? Oh well.
