[/blockquote] as ryan walked up to the owlery, he had already come to the conclusion that christopher was out of his mind. or suicidal. or both. he recalled yesterday's afternoon, when he had jokingly said that chris would never survive if he threw himself from the owlery. being the...well, the jerkwad, that he was, chris had made a bet, and forced him to do it too.
needless to say, ryan was not jumping off the owlery. he wasn't jumping off anything, no way. being horrified of heights was one of the reasons why he hated quidditch. and now this crazy dude was making him jump from a tower? no, no, no way. he'd rather have 3 hours of potions than jump off any height.
furrowing his eyebrows, he crossed his thin arms over his chest, and sat down in a rock. he had no clue where chris was, and he wasn't sure he wanted to know. maybe chris had forgotten...maybe he was kidding and there was no jumping. sighing, he cursed at himself. he was way to gullible for his own good. and chis was too mischievous. how he had permitted their friendship was a mystery. though, he had to admit that they had some crazy times together.

Of course Christopher was kidding when he said he was going to jump out of the owlery, alone. Chris would admit it, he was stuipid. There was no doubt to that. Saying 'I bet I'll survive this fall'. Course boys were bound to be stuipid together right? Well he was stuipid by himself, and he had that impact on Ryan, Christopher's heart started beating a bit faster, looking out the window he walked swiftly down the stone stairs to see the boy sitting there. A grin spread across his face as he jumped onto his back, practically tackling him. "Your a total douche you know that" Christopher said, falling back onto his feet he put Ryan into a headlock, really not helping it. He loved to tease Ryan, the goody goody, gullible, somewhat neieve, innocent Ravenclaw. In reality he had a totally different with Christopher, though he didn't really know the way he was without him either, the boys probably got in the most trouble out of a bunch of people in the school, though Ryan hardly ever got introuble and Christopher almost took the blame for everything.
"So, are you going to jump off of it with me or not?" he asked, arching an eyebrow, still having Ryan in a headlock. Probably not, the boy was too much of a...what Christopher would call him, a chickenshit. But truthfully Christopher was going to end up jumping off of something today, and Ryan was coming with him, no doubt.

[/blockquote] ryan had learned the hard way not to let his guard down with christopher, as he could attack any moment. metaphorically, of course. however, this time he hadn't seen him coming, and he felt air leave his body as christopher jumped on top of him. and christopher wasn't as skinny as he was, so it took him a lot of strength not to fall down.
sometimes chris got on his nerves, but the fun times where definitely worth it all. he was just about to lean forward, causing christopher to fall, when he jumped off.
"hello to you too." he rolled his eyes, sighing with relief as he stood up. christopher had the weirdest ways of saying hello, but at least ryan hadn't forgotten his manners.
even though ryan was slightly taller than christopher, he still managed to pull him into a very annoying head lock. if they hadn't been friends, ryan was sure they would have been enemies, no doubt. they had nothing in common, and they managed to drive each other crazy. thank god they were friends, though. hogwarts would be so boring without him.
when christopher asked if he was jumping or not, ryan finally came to the conclusion that he wasn't kidding. that boy was crazy enough to jump from a tower that was probably about 100 meters high. not only that, but it was surrounded by water. how cristopher was planning on surviving, he'd love to know.
"nah, i'd rather die another day." he replied, pushing himself out of the headlock and fixing his hat. he had the slightest feeling that christopher was not going to let him go so, sighing, he trudged behind him, going into the tower and up the stairs.
"since when did you decide to go all suicidal?" he asked cheekily, leaning on the hard wall. the owlery wasn't his favourite place in hogwarts, at all. it was rather small and very tall. not to mention it didn't look exactly decent.[/blockquote]

Christopher narrowed his eyes at Ryan when he said he wasn't jumping. The boy poked the other in the chest "Yeah, but you'll die with me" Christopher said, a large grin spreading across his face. The sad thing was they were always like this with eachother, it was jut a slight, habit from first year. Though Ryan never changed between the first time they met and the beginning of second year, always being the boy that never go into any trouble. Hell Christopher remembered the first detention they had together, they had to go to threw records that had accumilated in the past decade, about a fourth of them were Christopher's detention records. Ryan never saw how Chris was proud of that.
"Aww did I mess up your hair, I mean, hat" Christopher said when Ryan got himself out of the headlock. At his next question the boy raised an eyebrow at Ryan "Since cutting didn't work" he said sarcasticly. Christopher looked up above him, his eyes got wide as he saw something white land right infront of him. Moving slowly he went behind Ryan, sitting on one of the ledges of the stairs, looking down to see how far of a drop it was "Maybe I'll magically become a super hero and fly" he said with a nod, knowing that was never ever going to happen up at the large stone building. He never understod why the owls like it, it was small, and circular, and certainly...messy.

[/blockquote] ryan twitched when he was poked, remembering how ticklish he was. with a smirk, ryan poked his friend in the head, maybe trying to make him understand that it was all too stupid and dangerous.
"i'm sorry mate, but you're not my juliet and i'm not romeo,"he replied, referring to the shakespearian drama where the lovers die dramatically."i'm not dying dramatically for you." ryan wasn't very sure of christopher had read that novel, but he hoped he understood what he meant. if christopher threw himself from the tower, he was not following suit.
"don't ever mess with the hat, bro."he warned him, faking a gangster voice. it was such a relief being able to joke around with christopher. normally, he would barely talk and feel awkward, but with christopher it was all different. he was the only person he could fool around with, and he was never self councious when that happened.
he rolled his eyes at christopher's witty remark and smirked. before meeting him, he'd never found someone as sarcastic as himself. "i had to hide those meds, too."he smiled, looking around the room. he hardly ever sent letters, so it wasn't a place that he found interesting or hospitable.
ryan observed christopher sit down on the steps behind and peering down, then looking slightly paler. he had just checked the altitude. maybe he had finally come to his senses and realised how insane it was all. they had done a lot of stupid things together, most of them chris got blamed for, but this was just...no. just no. if anything happened they'd be both dead, and he'd rather get a detention than die any day.
"thats just as probable as the chance of my jumping,"he said quizzically with a smile, "i.e highly unlikely." he finished triumphantly, not sure if christopher had followed or not.

When Christopher felt his head get poked he flattened his hair, then shook his head. Which really didn't do much at all but still "of course we won't die dramatically, we'll die stuipidly" A grin spread across Christopher's face. He had been qutie, different these last few days, mainly because it was the beginning of a new school year, which ment new kids, which well sucked. See Chris was the type of guy that knew at least one thing to blackmail everybody, from the second years now to the teachers. Though he would never use it against the teachers, except for Binns, for some reason he enjoyed taunting the ghost.
Christopher laughed sligthly "Oh your so ghetto" he said with a nod "Hey your a rooe" he said as good as he could pronounce it "You know, the opposite of an oreo, white on the outside black on the inside" he nudged Ryan in the ribs, knowing how ticklish the boy was, he couldn't help it though. "Yeah, I know. I can't swallow worth the shit so I had to take the liquid depression medication, people thought I spiked my own drink" he said with a shrug, keeping a straight face through the whole statement.
"Not if I push you" Chris said, looking to him, a grin spread across his face as he moved over on the steps, both boys knew that nothing was going to happen except for getting pushed down the stairs, thats the most they would fall probably.

[/blockquote] One thing was for sure: he didn't want to die. Not dramatically, not stupidly. Neither. None. He was a living person, a very skinny one that was, but living nonetheless. If he had to die, he'd rather do it in a noble way. Dying to defend someone, or of all age. Not because he was forced to jump off a tower. However, now that he examined the altitude, he could probably conjure a broom, or make something soft appear before they landed. Maybe it wasn't so bad afterall... he just had to know the correct spell.
"I'd rather die in a different way." he shook his head, pacing slowly around the room. Maybe, if he managed to run fast enough, Christopher would never force him to jump. Therefore looking like a chicken. He sighed, his pride was something he'd like to keep.
His eyebrow was raised the whole time Chris made his speech. Or his short monologue. Sometimes he wondered if the boy was in his rightful mind. How could someone compare Ryan with a cookie? And what about black inside? Staring at him as if he was crazy, he took some steps forward, maybe Chris wouldn’t force him at all. Oh God that sounded wrong. But yeah, maybe they wouldn’t jump in the end. At least he hoped so.
“Exactly, an oreo….” He responded simply, nodding his head slowly, as if Christopher was insane. Seriously, when they were smaller, there were some times where he was truly afraid of Christopher. He’d start proposing the weirdest things ever, which included tauting peeves and laughing at the ghosts. Thank goodness Ryan was in his mind and stopped him from doing such things. Who knew that kind of evil doer Christopher would be if he hadn’t.
Christopher nudged him in the ribs, which caused him to squirm and slap his hand away. “That was so not gay, by the way. Now stop it.” he tried to say in the most serious voice he could muster between laughs. He had never met someone as ticklish as him, and he had never met someone as evil as Christopher. He knew Ryan was super ticklish, so he tried to tickle him as often as possible.
He laughed at Christopher’s answer. He had to admit the guy was pretty hilarious. “I tried to stop people whispering but it was so hard, Chris, so hard!” he exclaimed dramatically, then fell to the floor. After a few seconds of "cliff hanger" silence, he started roaring with laughter. They hadn’t even been reckless and he was having a great time. He almost nearly forgot about the jumping. Almost.
Ryan retreated carefully and slowly as he watched Christopher’s grin broaden. No, no, no pushing. He was just not flying out of that window, and that was it.
“Oi stop there,” he tried to say with an authority voice and failed, “You push me and I hex you.” he grinned, quickly taking his hand out of his pocket and holding it at his eye level. He didn’t dare to hex Chris, and he didn’t dare to push Ryan off, so all was good.
occ; that was waaaaaaay to long o.o

"What, y-you wouldn't want to die with me" Christopher said with sadly, pouting now. Of course it didn't but him, but it was just how he was. Christopher watched him as he paced around the room, clearly he was thinking. He could always push him now, but no, tha twould be mean, then again he was Chris, therefore Ryan would expect it, then he wouldn't fall. These were the stuipid thoughts that always ran through Christopher's head, it just kind of happened.
The boy scoffed "Thats not very nice you know, basically calling your best friend insane. I'd like you to hang out with your ravenclaw losers for a few weeks and see you die a slow miserable death" Christopher said with a nod, though he didn't mean anything he said, except for the first part of course, though Ryan would probably die of boredom without Christopher, as much as he would hate to admit it if they hadn't met in their first year they probably would of been like arch rivals since they were totally opposite.
Christopher bursted out laughing, he couldn't help it. "Oh no, not at all" he said, arching an eyebrow and poking Ryan again, okay this time he couldn't help it, though he did love teasing Ryan. "And I doubt they knew what you said cause they were in total shock 'Oh my god..did, did Ryan Smith just talk! He does have a life' he said this during Ryan's long pause, both boys broke out laughing histaricly right away. Watching Ryan get up Christopher wrinkled his nose "Dude you have bird shit on your pants" he said, shaking his head and waiting for Ryan to spazz.
Chris had a plan, yeah, believe it or not he thought ahead on this. Sure he would jump but then again he was an advid flyer, so conjuring his broom would be simple for him, he just loved to watch Ryan basically die on the inside, watching his best friend jump out of the window. Christopher raised an eyebrow "Oh the big bad Ryan is going to hex me" he said, but it still made Chris stopped in his tracks for some reason. Looking to Ryan's wand he lowered it down, shaking his head, knowing that the boy wouldn't do it, mainly because Christopher wouldn't push Ryan out a window...well a window this high up.

. ryan He smiled at Christopher as he pouted, pinching his cheek "Aww little Christopher. I would die with you...just not jumping from a tower." he grinned, then stopped pacing and leaned a wall on the opposite side of Chris. Technically, if he managed to conjure a broom, or something to stop him from dying...he could jump. Although he'd be scared shitless. But he did trust Christopher, and his magical ability to conjure brooms. Even if he hated high altitudes. "But you know, if we manage to accio some brooms..." he thought out loud, regretting it the minute the words left his mouth. There was no way Chris was backing down now. He sighed quietly.
Ryan shook his head in horror. "Don't leave me with them Christmas!" he used his favourite and funniest nickname,"I'd be the one going insane." And that was probably true, since he practically didn't socialize with the Ravenclaws his year. The only people he talked to were Chasper and Maddi, and they were girls. He needed a break for the girlyness, so thats when Chris came in.
Christopher's remark was so hilarious he couldn't stop himself from laughing harder. He normally felt uncomfortable laughing, because he was way to self conscious, but Christopher really broke his shell. "Touché, my friend." he said between laughs, as if Chris had just won a battle. A sarcastic battle, that was.
He had what? Ew! Getting his clothes dirty was one of the things that manged to get on his nerves. "Oh my god, damn it...!" were only the first 2 of the long string of insults that he exclaimed while trying to figure out what to do. He hardly ever swore, but he hated getting dirty. "Scourgify!" he muttered finally, pointing to his pant leg and watching the stain disappear. He sighed in relief and grinned, realizing he had looked like a complete fool.
Chris lowered his wand, he knew no hexing was gonna happen. They didn't need to have a spell match to prove that they were both out of their rightful mind. Christopher slightly a bit more, but thats how he rolled. "You know I can't...," he started, then smirked, "I'm not allowed to hex little girls."he finished, crossing his arms over his chest and tucking the wand away in his robe pocket.
occ; it's all their fault, they're so fun they make me post long.
